Digestive Reset:
Autumn

Four weeks of simplifying for your body

Maybe you feel too…

You haven’t been feeling well for a while. You’re tired, more tired than you should be, your digestion is unpredictable, and you have this feeling that something in how you eat and how you live needs to change. You just don’t know where to start.

Because there is so much advice. Every day there’s a friend or someone online telling you to cut out gluten, or dairy, or sugar, or to eat more protein, or to fast, or definitely never to fast, because it worked wonders for them. It’s overwhelming, and in the end you do nothing, because how do you choose?

Maybe you’ve already tried a few diets. It helped a little, for a while, and then your symptoms came back. And slowly you start to think that maybe it’s not the diet. That it’s something else.
I think you’re right. It’s not the diet, it’s about how well your body digests what you give it, and that is something you can improve. With simple, cooked food, rhythm in your days, and someone who looks at your body with you.

That’s what this reset is for.

What is a Digestive Reset?

It’s a gentle, nourishing reset that gives your digestion a break so it can get stronger. You eat warm, real food, and you eat until you’re full. It’s definitely not a juice cleanse where you feel crappy for a week.

For four weeks, we simplify. First by letting go of one habit that doesn’t serve you. And later, for a couple of days, your main meals become one simple nourishing dish: rice, split mung beans, vegetables and warming spices, cooked together in one pot, all adjustable to what works for you. Everything comes from the supermarket. In Ayurveda this dish is called kitchari, and in the second week I’ll tell you how to make it, so you don’t need to know anything about it now.

We build up slowly, do the actual reset for several days, and then ease back into your normal way of eating. Along the way we look at your days too: when you eat, when you sleep, what your mornings look like. Small things, and you pick one to work on, not ten (which for some is a relief and for some is a challenge 😊).

So your body gets real rest and real recovery time. Digestion has to happen within a certain amount of time, and if what and how much you eat doesn’t match the capacity your body has, the undigested food builds up like hair in your shower drain. Give it simple food for a while and it finally gets to catch up. Clean up what’s been sitting there, repair what needs repairing, settle down.

And you’ll notice that. Your head gets clearer, you sleep better, your energy starts coming back, and the complaints you’ve been walking around with often become less. You didn’t do anything drastic. Your body just got the chance to do what it’s good at.

Built around your body

A reset works best when it’s built around your body, not a general four-week plan everyone follows the same way.

When I hear “reset” I think of a challenge. Same rules for everyone, and if it doesn’t work for you, well, you probably didn’t do it right. I didn’t want to make that and that’s not how Ayurveda works. Everybody’s digestion is different, and so is everybody’s life, and that’s why this reset starts with you and me, one-on-one.

In your intake we take two hours to really look. At your digestion, your symptoms, your history, what your days look like, what you’ve already tried and what’s realistic for you right now. I ask a lot of questions, some of them about things you’ve probably never been asked before. And from that I shape the reset for you: which version of the dish, what to leave out, what to add so it’s nourishing enough for you, and which habit is worth your attention this month.

If you have an autoimmune condition, chronic pain or a digestion that’s been troubling you for years, this is where a general plan usually goes wrong. I know that from my own body. I have a chronic kidney condition, and what works for someone else is not automatically what works for me. So we make it fit.

In between, we meet as a group every week, to go through what’s happening in your body that week, to share what you notice and to learn a bit about the Ayurvedic theory behind what we’re doing. And after the reset we sit down again, one-on-one, to see what worked, what didn’t, and what your next step is, so you know how to continue from there.

Why autumn?

Summer tends to be challenging for many people. Heat, irregular eating, travel, late nights. It’s a lot for your body to handle, and now let go of.

Autumn is when your body prepares for winter. It needs strong digestion and good resistance to get through the change of seasons and the cold months that follow, without getting sick. And if you wait until winter, it’s too late, because winter asks for building and nourishing, and that’s not the time to reset. So the window is open now.

Maybe you’ve been saying it for years. “The bloating, that’s just how I am.” “I’m always tired, that’s normal at my age.” “I just catch every cold, bad luck.” Every year those sentences get a bit easier to believe. Four weeks of simple food is how you find out which of them are actually true.

Who is this for?

This is for you if:

This is not for you when:

What clients say about working with Ayurveda:

“The conversations were always pleasant; Rianne really listened to me and provided personalised advice. I mainly learned to listen to my body and simplify my diet. My bowels have calmed down. No more bloating. It’s definitely not a diet, just little tips that make a big difference.” Tinne

“Through Rianne’s Ayurvedic recommendations, I made a number of adjustments to my lifestyle and diet. As a result, I am less tired and my medical values as a kidney patient have improved!” Ellen

Don’t touch my food

In 2022 I did my first reset myself, as part of the Ayurveda module of my yoga therapy training. And honestly? I was nervous. About the food part, mostly.

I’m a hungry person. I need to eat, and when I don’t, it doesn’t go well for me or for the people around me. Food has always been a big theme in my life, and at that moment I was also still figuring out my new kidney diagnosis. So a reset? Is that going to be enough? Am I going to end up depleted? And on top of that I had just moved into a community where we ate lunch together every day, and I didn’t want to be the one with the weird eating pattern at the table.

And then there’s my perfectionist brain. The workbook had ten suggestions for morning routines and another bunch for the rest of the day, and I was going to do all of them, of course.

I did the reset anyway, with my fellow yoga therapy trainees. And what I discovered was subtle, but it stayed with me. The simplicity gave me peace. I didn’t have to think about food anymore, it was already decided, and that gave me a lot of space in my head. There was more rhythm in my days, and with the rhythm came energy. And I wasn’t depleted at all, because when a meal didn’t feel like enough, I made it more nourishing. That’s allowed. There’s nothing rigid about this reset, and that’s exactly what I’ll teach you.

I didn’t do all the routine suggestions, also because some are contradictory, great for someone else, just not for me. I had several in place already, tried a few new ones and stuck with a few that still work for me during particular periods.

Since then kitchari is my go-to meal whenever I’m busy, traveling or out of balance, and I still take my reset periods, even if it’s just a day, because I know how good it feels to give my body that space.

So if you’re reading this and you’re already worried about me taking away your coffee, I get it. We’ll talk about it in the intake.

What you get

Your personal intake and follow-up

A 120-minute Ayurvedic intake in the first week, before the reset itself begins. We look at your situation, your digestion, your symptoms, and you get recommendations for the reset that fit your body and your life.

A 60-minute follow-up after the reset, where we look at what worked, what didn’t, and what your next step is.

Both are one-on-one with me and included for everyone who joins.

Four live group sessions (1.5 hours each)

We meet every Tuesday: October 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 5pm CEST (11am Eastern, 8am Pacific). On October 27 the European clocks have changed to wintertime, so that session is at 5pm CET (12pm Eastern, 9am Pacific).

Week 1, Preparation. How your digestion works and how you can tell when it’s getting weaker, long before you get sick or have a flare-up. We also look at how you take care of your senses, and you set your intention for the four weeks.

Week 2, The reset begins. You learn to make the basic dish and its variations, and you start to see why some foods and rhythms work for your body and others don’t.

Week 3, Deepening. What your digestion does for the rest of your body: your tissues, your immune system, your reserves. Why this reset is about more than your belly.

Week 4, Integration. How to go back to your normal life without losing what you’ve built, and how to use this dish as a tool whenever you need it. We also talk about taste, because that’s what helps you choose.

Can’t attend live? Recordings are available for three months.

Practical workbook

A downloadable PDF with a step-by-step guide for each week, the recipes (basic and variations), shopping lists, daily practices to support your digestion, and journaling prompts to track what you notice.

Everything you need can be bought at the supermarket and is easy to prep.

Reset community (private group)

You’re not doing this alone. A private space where you can ask questions between calls, share what you’re experiencing, get support from others doing the reset, and stay accountable without pressure. I’m in there too, answering questions and cheering you on.

Practical details

Start date: October 6th 2026 Registration closes: Saturday October 3rd, so we can plan your intake in the first week Time: 5pm CEST (11am Eastern, 8am Pacific) Where: Online via Zoom, from wherever you are Recordings: available for three months

You can do this while living your normal life. You don’t need to take time off and you don’t need special equipment. Just a kitchen, a willingness to try and some support to cheer you on.

How does this fit into my life?

Do I have to cook every day? The main dish is made in one pot in about 30 minutes, and one pot is three meals. Once you get to these mono-diet days, it is recommended to make it fresh every day.

What about my family, or lunch at work? You can eat the dish while the rest of the table eats what they always eat, and it travels well in a Tupper. In the intake we look at your week and see what works best for you, including the days that are already complicated.

Will I be hungry? You eat until you’re full, and if a meal doesn’t feel like enough, we make it more nourishing. This is a reset, not a fast.

I’m vegetarian / I have an allergy / I don’t eat beans well. That’s all adjustable. That’s what the intake is for.

What about my coffee? We’ll talk about it. I’m not going to take anything away, you’re an adult and are the one making the choices.

I take medication / I’m under treatment. The reset works alongside your medical care, never instead of it, and you keep taking what your doctor prescribed. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic on insulin, underweight, or have a history of disordered eating, send me a message before you sign up, so we can look together at whether this is the right moment.

Investment: € 395

This includes your two-hour intake and one-hour follow-up with me, the four live sessions, the workbook and the group.

Because the intake and follow-up are one-on-one, there are 6 places in this round, and registration closes on Saturday October 3rd so that we can plan your intake in the first week.

If you’d like to take part but the investment is an issue, please get in touch with me.

After you pay, you’ll get an email from me to plan your intake as soon as possible. You also get the link to the group, the workbook you’ll receive before we start. Then we all meet on Tuesday the 6th, and we’ll kick off the reset.

Still not sure?

Maybe you’re thinking: will this really work for me? I’ve already tried so many things. I get that. I’ve been there myself, taking a leap of faith because what I heard made so much sense I couldn’t ignore it.

And here’s what is different. We’re actually focusing on doing less, not more. For four weeks you simplify your eating and living, you give your digestion a rest, and you let your body do what it’s good at. And because we start with your body, you won’t be following a plan that was made for someone else.

Four weeks, that’s it. You can always go back to how you ate before. My guess is that you won’t want to.

If you’d rather talk first, book a free 20-minute call. You tell me what’s going on, I tell you honestly whether I think this reset is for you or whether something else would help you more. Book a free call
