You’ve tried things. Physiotherapy, nutrition plans, mindfulness apps, maybe alternative approaches. Sometimes they helped for a bit, but then the symptoms came back. The exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, the pain that moves around, the digestive issues that won’t settle.

You’ve been told to manage it, to learn to live with it, but somewhere you feel there’s more possible. That your body is giving signals you can’t, and don’t want to ignore anymore. And that you need someone who listens beyond the diagnosis, who understands it’s not just about that one symptom but about you as a whole, how you move, eat, sleep, and live.

Maybe you’ve felt something shift in a simple practice, in a moment where less actually did more. Where slowing down created space you didn’t expect. That wasn’t a coincidence.

What's possible when we listen?

Most of the people I meet with chronic conditions are tired before we even start talking. They’re struggling with themselves, living with it for a long time, and they usually already have a diagnosis and medication. What they don’t have is a sense of how to get their life back. Over time, the disease starts to take up more space than anything else, until it feels like it’s become their identity.

Like one of my clients. She felt exhausted all the time with brain fog and pain, barely able to live the life she wanted. She’d been told “this is it” with her diagnoses and medication. But when we sat down and went through her actual daily rhythm and her eating and sleeping habits, the basics were off. They’d accumulated over time into something deeply unsupportive of her body.

As she started eating more nourishing cooked meals, drinking cooked water and sleeping earlier, her body responded fairly quickly. The brain fog cleared, her energy came back, her pain reduced and she didn’t need the afternoon naps that actually left her feeling more tired anymore. She said the difference was obvious even though the changes were basic.

That’s the moment I keep coming back to, because it makes me wonder what would change if we started somewhere else. What if instead of focusing only on the condition, we focused on the person living with it? What if you understood your body’s basic needs – the things that actually give you energy and reduce symptoms – and had support in working with them?

When you begin to make choices around nourishment, daily routines, and movement that are right for your body, something shifts. It’s not that the condition magically disappears. It’s that life starts to feel possible again. There’s more energy. Less pain. More of yourself.

I don’t work with standard protocols. I listen to what you feel now, not what you should feel.

Together we look at where you are now, what’s happening and what does your body need?

I bring three things together:

Ayurveda – the ancient medicine from India. Everything according to Ayurveda is cause and effect. If your digestion doesn’t work, nothing else works either and often the solution is simpler than you think. It’s not about complicated diets, but understanding what your body needs now and what’s in the way.

Yoga Therapy – movement that feels and doesn’t force. No “no pain no gain”, but less is more. Where can you feel tension and where is space? Back to simplicity and ease so tensions can release.

My own experience – I know what it’s like to be stuck and to not be heard or be told “learn to live with it.” And I know what helps, which is not the same for everyone, but I understand the journey of finding what works for you.

What is coming?

Work with me

One-on-one (online) guidance. Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, or a combination.

We always start with a holistic intake. Then we look at what you need.

Do you have questions?

Do you also work online? Yes. All my sessions are online via Zoom. And yes, it works really well.

How many sessions will I need? That varies for everyone. Some people need a few sessions, others work with me for longer. We decide together what is appropriate.

Can nutrition really make that much of a difference? Yes. Your digestion is the basis of everything. If that isn’t working, nothing else will work either. And no, it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Do you also work with diagnoses? Yes. I work with people with chronic conditions. Always complementary to regular care, never as a replacement.

What if I don’t live in the Netherlands? No problem. I work online with people all over the world. And I teach in Dutch, English and Spanish.

I'm Rianne Wolswinkel

I'm a classically trained Ayurvedic Health Counselor (Practitioner in training), Yoga Therapist and Thai Bodyworker. But I didn't start here.

I have a BSc in Life Sciences and spent over ten years in scientific research before my body forced me to listen - first through anxiety attacks, later through my kidneys when I was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy in 2019. That's when everything shifted. I went the holistic route, not because science didn't work, but because I needed more than it could offer alone.

Since 2017 I've been living in my campervan Lotje, and in recent years I've landed in Spain with my partner Itay, first in a community on the south coast and now looking for our own place near the mountains. I also love to work with my hands on green roof and building projects when I'm not in sessions.

I haven't figured it all out. I'm still learning what my body needs, what works and what doesn't. It’s all about moving with what is.

What I do have is a scientific mind that understands patterns and cause-and-effect, a holistic education that taught me to feel connections, and my own magnificent body as teacher.

I help people with chronic conditions through the wisdom of Ayurveda and therapeutic movement, with lightness and humor rather than rigidity, so they can work with themselves instead of against their body.
